Denita Sherman, 42, of Danbury, was arrested around 10 p.m. Oct. 30 after Wilton police observed her driving her 2012 Toyota Camry northbound on Route 7 in an erratic manner, said Lt. Robert Kluk.
Officers said that Sherman was traveling over the white fog line and the double yellow line and when officers attempted to make a traffic stop, wh continued driving for about a mile before finally pulling over, Kluk said.
When officers approached the vehicle they could smell marijuana and Sherman allegedly showed signs of impairment, police said.
Sherman, who was driving on a suspended license, admitted that she had been smoking marijuana laced with PCP; a search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana.
She was arrested after failing a series of field sobriety test and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, driving with a suspended license, failure to return license, failure to maintain proper lane and possession of marijuana.
